The simple answer to this is no we are not. There are many organisations involved with development in Africa and many of them are much bigger and more established than ourselves. However, there are very few organisations, like us that focus solely on agriculture.
We have a unique approach to working with farmers. Using our share farming model we work closely with farmers on all aspects of producing food, from sourcing the seed to selling the final product. This is not something that is currently being done on a large scale and from our research we feel there is a great demand for.
In the area we are currently based, there is no organisation offering agricultural development work. There are many farmers who have already expressed an interest in working with us.
Any organistaion that works to reduce poverty and increase food production is an ally of ours, not a competitor.
