This is a question we expect to get as a new business, with new ideas and a different approach to what people are used to.
We believe we have a great balance of youth, enthusiasm, passion and experience. Of course we always learning and finding out new things, and experience does not count for everything!
Africa is changing very quickly, there is no doubt about that. Of course experience is important, and between us we have several years of experience working in Uganda with farmers. In the local area we work in we have farmers who are still loyal to us due to the work that Martin did in the late 1980’s.
Jonny has a wealth of experience of farming in the UK with both arable and dairy. He has spent two extended periods in Uganda in the last year and been involved with various projects with a wide range of farmers. Although farming in Uganda is very different to here in the UK, there are many basic farming principles that are used anywhere in the world.
We have a group of experienced individuals on our local advisory board in Uganda. This includes farmers, businessmen, and local leaders.
We also have a Supervisory Board in the UK which oversees all that we do. This includes people who are exerts in the field of agriculture, business and development.
